TEIFS: DIFFERENCES AND BENEFITS
Workmanship Warranty: TEIFS warrants not only the materials, but the labor and workmanship. Other manufacturers warrant only the materials for a period of five years, with no respect to labor or workmanship.
Testing Advantages:
- We have tested our system according to ASTM G23 (Accelerated Weathering) for a total of 5500 hours vs. other manufacturers that have only tested to 2000 hours.
- We have tested our system according to ASTM E331 (Water Penetration) with a differential pressure of 12 psf (approx 70 mph) vs. the other manufacturers that only test to 6.24 psf (approx 46 mph).
Material Advantages:
- We use .95 psf minimum density expanded polystyrene, where our competitors use .9 psf. The higher density insulation allows for better water resistance.
- Teifs uses the highest quality and quantity of acrylic resins of any EIFS manufacturer in the marketplace.
- Reinforcing mesh is 4.8 oz compared with 4.5 oz as the industry standard, this ensures you that we have more alkali resistant coating to protect the mesh from deterioration caused from the cementitious base coat.
Third Party Inspections:
- Teifs is third party inspected and listed by 2 different agencies. RADCO and Omega Point Laboratories do quarterly random inspections of our manufacturing facilities and products insuring that the product we testing is exactly what we are manufacturing. This also ensures the products high quality.
We are the only manufacturer that has third party inspections of our plants and our products. This provides verification to our customers that the products that we tested are the same high quality products that we are manufacturing.
